Fostering Empathy, Easing Despair, Inc. proudly presents our redesigned event, New Jersey Ride Against AIDS (NJRAA). Same great people, just a new name. NJRAA will be a one day bicycle fundraising ride held on Saturday, September 27, 2014. The ride will begin and end at The Center in Asbury Park. Routes of 25, 50, or 100 miles will be offered to accommodate biking enthusiasts of all levels!
NJRAA is a 100% volunteer organization, which raises money to assist people in NJ living with HIV/AIDS. There are no salaried employees or paid staff. 100% of pledge donations raised by riders and crew go directly to NJ AIDS charities.
Beneficiaries of NJRAA may include The Center in Asbury Park, New Jersey
AIDS Services, South Jersey AIDS Alliance, JSUMC NJ Family-Centered HIV Care Network-Pediatric AIDS, Broadway House for Continuing Care, Access One, NJCRI-North Jersey Community Research Initiative and Buddies of New Jersey.
Fostering Empathy, Easing Despair, Inc. and NJRAA continues to help the community all year round. We participate in Community Dinner Tables held in
Asbury Park on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. This dinner is usually
held at Langosta Lounge, but is not limited to that one location. Volunteers of Fostering Empathy, Easing Despair, Inc. and NJRAA collect donations of food, clothes, shoes, toiletries, and toys, which are distributed to those in need during the various dinners.
All participants and volunteers experience the fun and magic of contribution, and are left moved and inspired knowing they have made a difference. If you are interested in becoming a part of an incredible team, please explore this website for more information or call Pat Sherman at
